I've been going here for the past 2 years and I've never had a bad experience with their food. The Osaka roll is definitely a recommendation. The service is usually great but the food may take a while to come since there are not many employees but the wait is worth it. The restaurant setting is quite nice, the lighting and wooden tables create a nice environment for your meal. All in all, would for sure recommend trying this place!

My No. 1 Sushi & Tofu opened years ago where Kam Nam Tofu was. Interior similar. Flatscreen shows cats, dogs, cows....having fun. R & b music in background. Single associate handling dine ins & take outs. Seated, given menu, ordered. Food came in 10 minutes. Offerings: Korean fried chicken, grilled bbq, desserts, soups, apps, noodles, bento box , lunch specials, apps. Japanese: sushi rolls, appetizers, entrees, drinks. Bites: Agedashi (5.95) japanese fried tofu -previous eats years ag was cube shaped. Present rectangular ones. Both topped with bonito flakes. -initially raw, it "cooked" within minutes. Dipped it in sauce of mirin & soy sauce at bottom of bowl. Yum! Grilled (whole) mackeral pike with rice. No brown rice... -2 whole fish cleaned of "guts"/intestines. Bones easily removable. Fish still had "bitter" taste. Traditional eating method is guts & all. Definitely an acquired taste. 1st time eats. No complaints. Dipping sauce of vinegar, soy & sugar in small tray. Yummy it was. Would repeat.. Small mixed leafy greens with carrots, cabbage, creamy white dressing deliz. 4.5 stars very reasonable pricing mainstream Korean eats with limited Japanese offerings. Note: posted on wrong website, reposting here.

Food was delicious!!! Kids got the crunch roll and they both enjoy it and finished it all. Youngest got chicken teriyaki and ate everything but the salad (not much of a salad guy at 5 years old) I got the curry Katsu chicken. It was full of flavor. Chicken was perfect. We also got the vegetable tempura. The individual vegetables were a good size and tempura was crunchy. Waitress was kind. Tables were clean. Nice background music playing. Will definitely return .

Lunch specials are under $10 is a rarity, but at My No. 1 Tofu a Korean/Japanese restaurant they have a $8.95 lunch special for those on a tight budget only available on the weekdays from10-3 and they do have a special offer tofu soup comes with ramen a few dumplings and an added egg for that extra taste $9.95 you can choose mild or spicyness and I tend to be more budget conscious so I chose both. Came by on a Thursday morning and was greeted by young lady don't know if she was the owner or not, but she was nice enough to offer me a cup of tea chicken teriyaki sounds good comes with two gyozas, one inari stuffed rice in a tofu pocket a bowl of rice and salad. The main dish was the tofu ramen soup serve on a hot stone pot along with a bowl of rice several side dishes. The soup was fulfilling flavorable enriching and delightful consist of mild broth tofu was soft as well as the dumplings they were extremely generous and she refill my cup of tea along with the side dishes commonly known as banchan loved the stir-fried fish cakes (eomuk bokkeum) seasoned spinach, stir-fried zucchini, kimchi and japchae commonly known as glass noodles as well spicy cucumbers and spinach. They even have their house special served with rice under $15, appetizers, party tray, noodles and sushi rolls. By the way they no longer served salad bar nevertheless this is one place you can dine out not overspend. For my meals was around $20 and gave her a tip for her service polite as she made sure I was satisfied and I thank her in Korean (kamsahamnida).
